Hi Everyone and welcome to this weeks TV Rewind. This is our 35th TV Rewind since we got started over a year and a half ago, but If you haven’t seen it yet this is what it is about. TV Rewind is where we take a look back at some of the shows that we used to watch when we were younger. Shows for the 80’s and 90’s mainly but we have gone back to the 70’s once or twice.

This week we are going to 90’s, too show that launched one of the biggest movies stars in the world George Clooney. Thats right, this weeks TV Rewind is ER. ER first aired in 1994 and ran for 15 season ending in 2009, making it one of the longest running TV dramas in US TV history. It had over 330 episodes and countless awards and huge ratings. ER was set in the fictional hospital of County General in Chicago. It followed the life of the staff of the Emergence room as they dealt with the none stop nature of the job and all the problems that came with it. The original cast was George Clooney, Anthony Edwards, Sherry Stringfield, Noah Wyle, Eriq La Salle, and Julianna Marfulies.

One of the things that people loved about the show was the characters the medicine was a big part of the show but it was mainly about how these people dealt with there pirate lives and how the hospital got in the way of there private lives. the writing was great and the story lines were second to none. At times it was a bit hard to fellow what was happing but people stuck with it. Critics and viewers alike love the show (it would explain how it got 15  seasons)  At the hight of its popularity upwards of 30 million people were tuning in each week to see what the next episode had in store for the doctors at County General.

I must confess I never did get past the 9th season I kept losing interest but it is one of those show that I want to watch form start to finsh and I will do it some day. did you watch ER when it was on if you did let me know what you taught about it and who was your favourite character.
