Last week I reported that the top 5 networks (NBC, The CW, FOX, ABC, and CBS) in the states had canceled 12 shows in one day (you can check out that post here). That was the only a small amount of what was canceled. Well the reason for this was to make room for the new shows that the networks had picked up for there fall schedule.

Last night they released of the shows that they have picked up. There is a lot of verity in the list of 43 new shows that will debut later on this year. There is comedies, Sitcoms, dramas, thrillers and even a few time traveling shows. You can check out exactly what the shows are called and who is in them, here.

I am going to look at just a few of the shows that I want to watch and the ones that I’m not that interested in. First up is a Kirsten Bell show, I haven’t haired anything about  this before today but I am a fan of bells work from Veronica Mars to House of Lies more so the latter. She is staring in a new fantasy show called The Good Place.

the-good-place-600x304

Next up is 24. I loved 24 when Kiefer Sunderland played Jack Bauer so I was interested to hear that Fox is bringing it back with a whole new cast. The story line sounds familiar as a veteran returning home finds him self in trouble and turns to CTU for help sounds a bit like Homeland I think but that could just be me.

24-Corey-Hawkins

Next up is A.P.B staring Justin Kirk  (Weeds) as a billionair who lost his wife to a violent crime so he buys in trouble police precinct as he puts his unorthodox skills to use trying to fix the precinct.

There is also a few show that I am not to sure about. The first show is based on the film the Exorcist. I liked the movie and it still scares the carp out of me when ever I watch it but I think that when you turn it into a show it will just lose all of its scarceness  but I could be wrong.  I think I will give it a chance and watch a few shows.

Lethal Weapon is an other film getting the small screen treatment again I think this might fall flat on its face. All you have to do is look at Rush Hour show and how well it is NOT doing in the ratings.  I think the same fate might be in store for Lethal Weapon buddy cop films like these are very hard to replicate this on the small screen.

The last show that I am not sure will work is Time After Time.  This tells the story of H.G. Wells adventures with his time machine. The twist, yes there has to be a twist as if H.G Wells with a time machine isn’t a big enough twist, Jack the Ripper gets his hands on the machine and uses it to get away from Scotland Yard. so then the chase is on.

That is only a small bit of what was announced yesterday. you can follow the link at the start of the post to get the full list of 43 new shows debuting later this year. What do you think let me know by leaving a comment below. Thanks for reading I hope to see ye all back soon until then keep on Viewing.

cancelled

In what some people in the entertainment industry are calling Bloody Thursday, but what I like to call your Fired Day 12 shows have being axed to make way for the new Autumn line up. So the big five networks in the states (ABC, Fox, CBS, NBC, and The CW,). Here are the shows that got canceled.

Agent Carter

Bordertown

Castle

Containment

Cooper Barrett’s Guide to Surviving Life

C.S.I Cyber

The Family

Galavant

Grandfatered

The Grinder

Nashville

The Muppet’s

As you can see there is a few shows that are shown here in Ireland and England that has being canceled. One of the biggest surprises is Castle. Castle was in the new lately because they let go of there leading lady Stana Katic who players Kate Beckett. ABC also gave there leading man (Nathan Fillion) a new one year contract so you can understand if people are shocked to hear of the shows cancellation.

castle-courtroom-season-8

After 4 seasons Nashville has also being canceled along with the Muppet’s who only got one season and Agent Carter who got two seasons but never got the numbers that was hoped. Bad ratings are not the only reason for the shows to be canceled. Each year the networks have to let go of a certain amount of show to make way for the new shows that will debut in the fall schedule which will be announced fully next week.

These are not the only shows that have being canceled this year this has being going on for a few months now you can check out exactly what has being canceled and what has being upped so fare just follow this link to TVLine.

There is one show not mentioned here that has being canceled, Marvels Most Wanted. This was the spin off to Marvels Agents of Shield. ABC ordered a pilot show and had the lead characters Most Wanted (Nick Boold and Adrainne Palicki), written out of Agents of Shield. Then even before they make the pilot is made they cancel the show. it dons’t make scene to me but that’s why I’m not payed a but load of money to make these decisions.

What do you think of the shows that have being canceled let me know what you think by leaving a comment below. Thanks for reading until next time keep on Viewing.

A few months ago I wrote a post about Gilmore Girls getting picked up by Netflix so they could bring it back (check out the article here). This got a lot of people excited about the prospect because according to the fans of the Gilmore Girls it never got a proper ending.

First of all lets start with what we know Netflix has said that they are making four 90 minutes episodes, nearly a full seasons worth of Gilmore Girls. They still haven’t set a release date. There hasn’t been much released in the way of plot line either but what they have released is the list of how is returning to the show.

lets take a look first of all the main charters of the show Lorelai (Lauren Graham), Rory (Alexis Bledel) and Emily (Kelly Bishop) have all singed on to return. Luke played by Scoot Patterson ( Lorelai’s love interest) is in as well as ex-husband Christopher played by David Sutciffe. Then we move onto Rorys love interests  starting first with Dean (Jared Padalecki), Jess (Milo Ventimiglia) and of course Logan (Matt Czuchry) will all make an appearance. Rory’s friend Paris is singed on as well as Stars Hollow regulars Michel, Miss Patty and Kirk.

Screen Shot 2015-06-07 at 22.13.39

One notable absence is Sookie St. James played by Melissa McCarthy. Melissa is one of the most successful actors to come out of the Gilmore Girls staring in her own show Mike and Molly and Staring in a number of hit movies like Heat and Bridsmaids. She is also staring in the upcoming reboot of Ghostbusters, it is because of this she said she couldn’t come back to the show until now, the announcement was made yesterday that she will be returning to the show after all. She made the announcement on the Ellen DeGeneres show.

We have been given one peace of news on the plot line is that because of the death of Edward Herrmann in 2014, Who played Richard, show writers have decided to face it head on and showing how Emily is dealing with her husband and it doesn’t sound like she is handling it will at all. So there you have it all the news so fare on the Gilmore Girls come back. Keep checking back here for more news and let me know who was your favorite charter is by leaving a comment below.

Hi and welcome to this weeks New Releases USA. Take a look at this weeks top 10 here. There is 7 new movies out this week. As always we are going to take a look what I think the top 3 are going to be, so lets get started.

First up is the Chris Hemsworth and Cillian Murphy epic, In the Heart of the Sea. Based on the true Story about the event that inspired Herman Melville’s Moby Dick. Chris Hemsworth is captain of a whaling ship that messes wight the wrong whale. This has the makings of a big blockbuster and I think it will be a big hit. I really liked Hemsworth in Rush and I am looking forward to see him in an other role out side of the Marvel Universe.

In the heart of the sea

Next is The Big Short. It tells the story of a group of financiers who seen the credit and housing collapse and how they used it to make they selfs rich. i have been keeping an eye on this movie for some time. The cast is full of heavy hitters like Christian Bale, Steve Carell, Ryan Gosling, and Brad Pit, and to top it all off the Anchorman director Adam McKay is bring it all together to make what looks like an entertaining black comedy. It is only getting a limited releases to start with but when it is released nationwide it will be a big blockbuster I think myself.

Last up is the British crime thriller Legend. It is about real life gangsters the Kray brothers who ran the crime empire in east London with an iron first. Tom Hardy plays both brothers in this movie and reviews of his performance are very good. This movie was released in a limited amount of cinemas 3 weeks age but now it is being released nationwide and after its performance in Europe and its limited releases I think it will do well in the charts this week.

Other movies out this week are The Lady in the Van, Don Verdean, Boy and the World, and Bleeding Heart. if you see any of these movies let me know what you taught of them by leaving a comment bellow.

Hi and welcome to this weeks New Releases USA there are 11 new movies out this week as always we are going to take a look and what I think the top 3 movies will be so lets get started.

First up is Krampus, it is a story about a boy who had a bad Christmas and ends up accidentally summoning a Christmas demon to his family home. The director of cult classic Trick ‘r Treat  Michael Dougherty takes his horror genre and gives it a Christmas felling. This movie will not make knock The Hunger Games off the top spot but it will be a good watch for all you horror fans out there.

Screen Shot 2016-05-12 at 23.28.03

Next up is Spike Lee’s latest movie Chi-Raq. It is a modern day adaptation of the ancient play Lysistrata by Aristophanes, set against the backdrop of gang violence in Chicago. From what I seen in the trailers I really want to see this movie. It has a great cast with the likes of Teyonah Parris, Wesley Snipes, Angela Bassett and making his come back Nick Cannon. This has all the makings to be a great movie.

Screen Shot 2016-05-12 at 23.28.42

My last pick this week is The Letters. This is a true story based on the remarkable life of Mother Teresa. Directed by William Riead. It spans a 50 year period of her life when she went to Calcutta to help the poorest of the poor. I don’t think that it will be a contender for the top spot but it should make it into the top 10

Screen Shot 2016-05-12 at 23.29.16

There is my 3 picks for this week the other movies out this week are Macbeth,Youth, A Royal Night Out, The Wold of Kanako, Life, Hitchcock/Truffaut, Christmas Eve, and MI-5. If you see any of these movies let me know what you taught of them by leaving comment below.

Last weeks number 2, Spectre, falls 2 places to this weeks number 4. Brooklyn breaks into the top 10, to number 9, after 3 weeks and it shows no sing of slowing down. This weeks number 10 is in its 9th week in the top 10 The Martian. This could be the Martian’s last week in the top ten but what a run it has been, it is defiantly contender for movie of the year.

The Hunger Games looks set to keep the top spot this weekend ageing with not much happing in the way of new movies coming out. There is Krampus and Chi-Raq but I don’t think that they will pose much threat to The Hunger Games. We will have to wait and see.

Hi everyone and welcome to this weeks New Releases USA. There are 7 new movies out this week and as usual we are going to take a look at 3 of them. This week we start with the final chapter of The Hunger Games Series, Mockingjay part 2. A lot of fans of the teen series will be sad to see it come to an end as too will Lionsgate as the franchise has grossed over $2 billion world wide so fare with the last instalment looking like it will be the highest grossing movie in the series. There is a whole lot of stores lines to wrap up but one thing is for certain it will be a great ending.

Screen Shot 2016-05-12 at 23.19.33

Up next is the latest Seth Rogen  movie, The Night Before. To the best of my knowledge this is the first festive movie of the season. 3 friends has a Christmas tradition of spending the night before Christmas trying to find the best every Christmas party the results of their journey is funny and very much not for the kids this is a mammy and daddy movie along the same lines as Bad Santa.

Screen Shot 2016-05-12 at 23.20.06

Last up is the British crime thriller Legend. It is about real life gangsters the Kray brothers who ran the crime empire in east London with an iron first. Tom Hardy plays both brothers in this movie and reviews of his performance are very good. This movie is on limited releases this week but I think it will be given a country wide releases so due to the good performance of the movie in Europe

Also out this week is Secret in Their Eyes, Carol, #Horror, and Mediterranea. Will any of these films  knock Spectre off the top spot (see this weeks top 10 here), we will have to wait and see. If you go and see any of these movies let us know what you taught of it by leaving a comment below. Thanks for reading I will see ye all next time until then keep on Viewing.

The Martian slips fem last weeks 3rd to this weeks 4th, this is The Martian seventh week in the charts and it is not look like it is going anywhere any time soon. It looks like Hotel Transylvania 2 could be soon ending its 8 week run in the top 10, but not earning over double its budget.

Spectre will have a tuff fight on its hand to keep the top spot next week as the last in the Hunger Games series. Also the latest from Seth Rogen and pals in The Night Before.
