This week we are taking a look at Money Monster staring George Clooney, Julia Roberts, and Jack O’Connell, and it was directed by Jodie Foster. The first thing that came to mind about this film was (wow it is a great cast) the next thing that came to mind was (wow she is a great director), the next thing to come to mind was (its a good story line), and the last thing that came to mind was I have to see this movie. Well that is what I did.

First of all as I watched the first 5 minutes all I could think was bloody hell George Clooney is such a dick in this, I found this weird as I have only really seen him as the smooth talking nice gym even when he was playing a thief in oceans 11 you could not but love him (wow this is sounding like a love letter to George Clooney, but I am getting to a point so stay with me) but to see him jumping around on stage like a fool was a bit tuff to watch, but as the film goes on you can see why it was played like that, and it worked.

Screen Shot 2016-06-23 at 12.01.41

I better give you a quick rundown of the story line. George Clooney plays Lee Gates the host of a financial advise/entertainment show that tell you what stock to buy and why, but he does this with back up dancers costumes and stupid catch phrases like “have some balls”. Underneath it all he is a looney man that claims that he has never eating dinner alone since the 90’s. Then you Julia Roberts who plays Patty Fenn who is the director of the show and tries to keep Lee on a short leash but it is a tuff job as he doesn’t want to listen to her the whole time which leads to Patty taking a job at an other station. One of the stock tips that was given on a pass show has bombed and a lot of people lost a lot of money, entry Jack O’Connell’s character Kyle Budwell who lost 60k in the bad stock tip and he want to know why so he goes into the studio during a live show and hold the place up with a gun and a bomb until he gets some answers.

Screen Shot 2016-06-23 at 12.01.24

As I said at the start It was tuff to watch Clooney that Lee at the start of the movie but I think this was well set up by Forster because she made you think wow this guy is a very annoying but as the movie goes on you can see his character start to change and grow, and start thinking about someone other then himself. The transition is subtle but fast at the same time and also helped along by Roberts character Patty. Now I could be wrong in this but that is the beauty of movies you can take whatever you want out of them and if it makes sense to you then nothing else maters

Screen Shot 2016-06-23 at 12.01.58

I taught the cast was great in this movie with Clooney and Roberts work well together like they always do. This time with the added bounce of having up and coming star Jack O’Connell there as well. O’Connell gave a great performance as the hostage taker. They all gave great performances that was brought out by the director Jodie Foster. She paced the film well and brought the best out of her actors. This weeks Saturday Night Stay In Movie is Now You See Me. The reason I am picking this this week is simply because it is a great movie. Lets look at the cast first. Up first is Jesse Eisenberg from the likes of The Social Network, and Zombieland is a very funny guy and top class actor. Next up Isal Fisher who has stares in Wedding Crashers and The Great Gatsby. The you have the every brilliant Woody Harrelson who dons’t really need an introduction niter dose Morgan Freeman. Mark Ruffalo (yes the Hulk is in it) and the only thing that was awful about the last season of Scrubs Dave Franco.

Now-You-See-Me-now-you-see-me-34798393-1600-1200

As you can see it is a very good cast, now the plot of the movie. Four street magicians are brought together by an unknowing person to put on 3 magic show in the first one they rob a french bank while staying in the states, so the FBI gets involved and the cat and mouse game gets underway.

I love this movie for so many reasons as you can see first and for most it is because of the cast I love them. They all work so well together, especially Eisenberg and Harrelson who work together on Zombieland which is an other film I could watch over and over again and I do watch it over and over again. They play so well off of each other. I also love the way the film is shoot it looks so stylish and slick. Louis Leterrier, who has directed films like Transporter 1 +2 and Unleashed with Jet Li, is just top class.

Over all you shouldn’t be surprised when I give it Now You See Me 5 out of 5. I just love this movie and what makes it even better is the fact that the second Now You See Me is coming out June 9 this year. I cant not wait for that one. Hi Viewers and welcome to this weeks Saturday Night Stay In Movie. The SNSIM is simple if you are not going out this weekend then I recommend a movie that you might like to watch. This week it is the 2001 Swordfish Staring Halle Barry, Hugh Jackman, John Travolta, Don Cheadle and Vinnie Jones to say but a few.

Screen Shot 2015-10-02 at 09.01.39

It tells the story the world most dangerous spy who is hired by the CIA to coerce a computer hacker recently released from prison to help steal $6 billion in unused government funds. Now form that synopsis it doesn’t sound like the best movie but I would like to bring your attention you back to the end of the last paragraph  where I listed some of the great actors in this movie so have faith in it. There was something in this film that did over shadow everything and for me was unnecessary and that was Halle Barry’s topless scene now don’t get me from my point of view of a man it was great but as a point of view of a someone just watching the film it was unnecessary, it didn’t add to the film it wasn’t artistic, it seemed like it was just put in there simply to have one of the hottest actors of the time to be topless.

Other then that I like the script and the I liked the cast over all I liked this movie and I think it is a good way to spend a Saturday night if you are not going out, but I will warn you that I wouldn’t start watching it until you put the kids to bed it’s defiantly not for their eyes. Here is the trailer for you have a look

Hi Viewers and welcome to this weeks TV Rewind. This week we are looking back at action thriller 24. Now I know what you are thinking 24 was only on a last year and you would be right to an extent, there was a shortened half season last year, 24 Live Another Day, this was showing 4 years after the original show was canceled in 2010. 24 first aired all the way back in 2001, yes 14 years ago it is hard to believe, and quickly became one of the best loved show on TV mainly because of the main charter Jack Bauer, and the way the show followed real time, it had never been done before. 24 originally ran for 8 seasons spanning 192 episodes with the series finale broadcast on May 24, 2010. In that time there was also a TV movie between season 6 season 7 and it was called 24: Redemption,

Screen Shot 2015-10-01 at 09.06.59

The main character of the show was Jack Bauer who was played by Kiefer Sutherland. He had a pretty descent film career before he took the 24 role, he was in such movies as Stand By Me, The Lost Boys, Young Guns Flatliners, and A Few Good Men. Kiefer Sutherland was perfect for the role of CTU agent (Counter Terrorist Unit) Jack Bauer. Bauer was a troubled man who would give everything, even his life for his country and he would not be afraid to go rouge if he taught it was the right thing to do. He also had a family who featured heavily in the first few seasons.

Screen Shot 2015-10-01 at 09.06.41

24 was one of my favourite shows to watch during the 2000’s I would never miss a show. As the seasons went on 24 turned into a family event with everyone sitting down to watch what would happen this week after the cliff hanger of last week (every episode was left on a cliff hanger) It was grate TV and at its hight in seasons 5 and 6 it seemed like everyone was watching it and talking about it.

There has been talk about a movie but those plans were scripted in favour of a half 9th season  which aired in 2014 which brought the episode count up to 204. There was also talk about jakes partner in seasons 9, Kate Morgan played by Yvonne Strahovski, but nothing ever came of that. Now Fox has hinted at a spin off show, with out Sutherland, to be developed we will have to wait and see. Did you watch 24 let me know what you taught of it by leaving a comment below. Hi Viewers It time to take a look at what is new movies are coming out this week. There are nine new movies out this week, there is a good mixture of action, drama, comic book, and animated so it looks like there is something for everyone. First up is Fantastic Four. There has been a lot of controversy sundering this film because of how much it is differs to the comic but Fox has done well in promoting it. As I said there is a lot of changes made to this movie that differ fro the comics one of the big ones is that sue and Johnny are not related, the team do not get there powers from outer space and the changes goes on. This movie is one that will go one of two ways it will be a huge hit or it will be a huge flop we will have to wait and see.

Up next is Shaun The Sheep Movie. There has been a lot of Animated movies this summer and for the most part they have all been a success and I cant see this being any different. Shaun has been around for a long time and has a big following built up over the years so this film could do very well in the top ten. WhenShaun decides to take the day off and have some fun, he gets a little more action then he bargained for. A mix up with the farmer, a caravan and a very steep hill lead teem all to the Big City and it’s up to Shaun and the Flock to return everyone safely to the green grass of home. This is going to be one to watch.

The las film we are taken a look at this week is a thriller from director Joel Edgerton, The Gift. Staring Jason Bateman, Rebecca Hall, David Denman and Hoel Edgerton. A young married couple’s lives are thrown into a harrowing tailspin when an acquaintance from the husband’s past brings mysterious gifts and a horrifying secret to light after more than 20 years. This film has been getting a lot of good reviews and is poised to open well in the top ten. We will have to wait and see.

Hi viewers Its time to take a look at what films are out this week. There are 6 films for you to enjoy so lets take a look.

First we have Reese Witherspoon and Sofia Vergara in Hot Pursuit. Witherspoon plays an uptight and by the book cop who tries to protect the outgoing widow of a drug boos as they race through Texas while they are pursued by crooked cops and murderous gunmen. Reviews have not being kind to this film with it been likened to a water down The Heat.

Next is Mission Impossible Rogue Nation. This is the fifth instalment in the franchise and it is being billed as one of the best. Tom Cruise is back with his crew Simon Pegg, Jeremy Renner and is joined by Rebecca Ferguson. Ethan and the team take on their most impossible mission yet, eradicating the syndicate – an international rogue organisation as highly skilled as they are, committed to destroying the IMF. I think that it will open at number 1 this week kicking Marvels Ant-Man off the top spot after only 2 weeks.

The last film we are looking at this week is Beyond The Reach. Directed by Jean-Baptiste Leonetti and staring Michael Douglas, Jeremy Irvine, Hangan Lawrence, Ronny Cox, Martin Palmer, Patricia Bethune and David Graver. It tells the story of a high-rolling corporate shark and his impoverished young guide play the most dangerous game during a hunting trio in the Mojave Desert.

World War Z Sequel Get Release Date

Empire is reporting that the sequel to 2013’s World War Z has a release Date. Penned by Steven Knight, it’ll be out on June 9 2017, leaving just the small matter of Juan Antonio Bayona’s actual production in the mean time. The first movie pulled in half a billion dollars at the box office surprising many that had predicted it would be a flop. Bayona and Knight  singed onto the project around this time last year, with Knight saying that the sequel is a “a clean slate”

WWZ

With no plot details revealed so far, it’s still unclear what that means. Is it possible that World War Z  is set to become an anthology series, with each potential instalment a smaller piece of a bigger puzzle? Are we going to move focus to different characters, leaving Brad Pitt to produce-via his Plan B shingle-but not appear in front of the camera? Or was Knigth just talking about ignoring whatever had already been written and starting his own attack form scratch?

What is certain is that there’s plenty of as-yet unused material fem Max Brook’s novel fro the film to draw on. The undead are moving more slowly this time though, since the hoped-for start date last autumn shuffled past with nothing happening. Since the clock is now officially ticking, however,we’d assume there’ll be more action soon.

This week we have a dramatic thriller called Alone Time. the short film starts off with the words based on true events which I didn’t pass any heed of the first time I watched it, the second time around it made since. There is a saying a picture speaks a thousand words and the film make take full advantage of this by using the lack of dialog to and good acting to set the mood of a girl that is letting life get on top of here and just needs some alone time. I don’t want to give too much away so I will move on to how the film looked, I taught that it looked very nice with the director making grate use of panning the camera to take in all the grate surroundings. the only fault that I have with this film is that it take a bit too long to get to the big twist and could of made a little more of it but that is just men have a look and see what you think. enjoy

This weeks Saturday Night Stay in Movie is the 1999 classic, Fight Club. Staring Brad Pitt and Edward Norton in this master pice of story telling. Norton stars as an office work with insomnia until he meets Brad Pitt’s character Tyler Durden a soap salesman. They meet in on a plain and become friends. One night out drinking they get into a fight and that is the birth of Fight Club (but the first rule of Fight Club is that you don’t talk about Fight Club) so you didn’t hear it from me.

Screen Shot 2016-04-23 at 12.08.58

This is one of my favourite movies ever It is so all told and it always keeps you guessing, you are never sure what is going to happen from one minute to the next. The performance from Norton was outstanding and made people really sit up and take notice of him. He had a few roles under his belt but Fight Club was the one to take his career to the next level. Pitt on the other hand, had been acting for quite a while at this stage, brought a lot of star power to the movie, as well as giving a brilliant performance.

This is defiantly one to put the kids to bed before you sit down to watch it. I would give yourself plenty of time to watch it because as soon as it is finished you will want to watch it agin to see if you could spot all clues hidden throughout the movie. If you haven’t seen it already I am jealous of you because you get to experience it for the first time.

Hi and welcome to the first Saturday Night Stay In Movie. This is where if you are staying in this weekend I suggest a movie for you to watch. Now saying that it is Oscars weekend I taught that I would pick a film that is up for an award, Gone Girl. It is nominated for Best Lead Actress, Rosamund Pike. Gone Girl stars Ben Affleck, Rosamund Pike, Neil Patrick Harris, Tyler Perry, and Carrie Coon. This is a psychological thriller based on the book of the same name and directed by David Fincher.

Screen Shot 2016-04-27 at 16.39.39

Gone Girl tells the story of a man accused of kidnaping and murdering his wife. This movie is fare from straight forward with more twist then your favourite roller coster. Ben Affleck is outstanding as the husband but the show was stolen by his wife Rosamund Pike with a flawless performance with movie goers and critics alike all saying the how good she was. so much so she was nominated for a Oscar for Best lead Actress.

Adapted from the the New York Best Seller of the same name. This is one of the movies of the year for me. This book could have easily been turned into a TV show and it would have been a big hit as well, the fact that it was turned into a movie meant that there isn’t any time to catch your breath because the story proceeds at a brake neck pace. Over all I give Gone Girl a 4 out of 5.
