Hi and welcome to this weeks TV Rewind. If this is your first time reading TV Rewind, then welcome. The Idea of TV Rewind is to look back at some of the shows that we used to watch growing and maybe still watch today. This week is no different.

This week we are going back to 1987 and we are taking a look at Star Trek The Next Generation.

Star Trek The Next Generation was the follow up too the original Star Trek show. It first aired in 1987 and ran fro 7 years and 4 movies. The show stared Patrick Stewart, Wil Wheaten, and  Whoopi Goldberg to name a few. It was set 70 years after the end of original Star Trek finished. This was the sixth crew to take charge of the famous Enterprise.

The show enjoyed the same success that followed the original show and became one of NBC’s most watched show on their network. It ran for  over 170 episodes.

The show was cancelled after the seventh season which was a shock to the cast and crew because it was enjoying constantly high ratings, plus the cast was contracted for an eight season. Many believe it was cancelled because the cost of wages would get to expensive also there was movies planed and the network taught the movies would perform better if there wasn’t a show on at the same time.

When the Next Generation came out it cause a divide in the Star Trek fans. They could not agree on who was a better captain, was it Captain Kirk, Star Trek Original (William Shatner) or Captain Picard (Patrick Stewart) Which was your favourite let me know by leaving a comment below.

Hi everybody I hope you had a good weekend. The weekend is over and you know what that means, its Monday and it is time for the Video of The Week review. First of all this week’s Video of The Week has strong language and violent scenes throughout so parental guidance is advised.

This week we decided to go with a Sci-if short film  called From The Future With Love. This film has a grate premise, in the future policing has gone the way of insurance with different companies competing to get more customers. If you don’t have any cover from the copes then they will not step in and save you. Also there are different leaves of cove like care insurance. This is a commentary on todays policing saying that the rich get better protection then someone with lees money.

This is a whole lot to fit into such a short amount of time but the director dose a good job. The costume design is very good and give the film a sleek look. The cops uniforms look very futuristic. There is not a lot of CGI in this film which help with the look of the film and when they do use CGI it looks very well.

All in all this is a good film well made that I think everyone can enjoy. Check it out and let me know what you think by leaving a comment below. Thanks for reading I will see ye all next week until then keep on Viewing

The Guardian is reporting that Jurassic world is set to have a opening weekend of over $100 million . Experts predict Colin Trevorrow’s film is on course to mimic the barnstorming financial success of the early Steven Spielberg-directed Jurassic Park movies.

Dinosaur disaster movie Jurassic World looks set to be one of the year’s biggest films at the box office after experts predicted a opening of more than $100 million next month.

Screen Shot 2015-05-27 at 19.00.40The latest installment in Steven Spielberg’s blockbuster Sci-Fi saga about rampaging reptiles on a remote island theme park is due for release on 11 June in the Uk and a Day later in US cinemas. It stars Guardians of the Galaxy’s Chris Pratt opposite Bryce Dallas Howard, Vincent D’Onofrio and a brand-new CGI-generated “genetically Modified” dinosaur know as Indominus Rex.

The high box office tracking figures, via BoxOffice.com suggest the new Jurassic Park movie could be on course to mimic the barnstorming financial success of the saga’s early installments. Spieberg’s Jurassic Park was the highest grossing film of all time between 1993 and 1997 when James Cameron’s Titanic took the mantle. A US opening in excess of $100 million would put the new film, Colin Trevorrow, on course to serapes its predecessor provided it also performs well in China.

The Lost World: Jurassic Park also scored decently in 1997 taking $618 million world-wide to land the top three films of the year. However, 2001’s Jurassic  Park 3 managed only $368 million four years later after joe Johnston succeeded Spielberg as director. Check out the trailer.

World War Z Sequel Get Release Date

Empire is reporting that the sequel to 2013’s World War Z has a release Date. Penned by Steven Knight, it’ll be out on June 9 2017, leaving just the small matter of Juan Antonio Bayona’s actual production in the mean time. The first movie pulled in half a billion dollars at the box office surprising many that had predicted it would be a flop. Bayona and Knight  singed onto the project around this time last year, with Knight saying that the sequel is a “a clean slate”

WWZ

With no plot details revealed so far, it’s still unclear what that means. Is it possible that World War Z  is set to become an anthology series, with each potential instalment a smaller piece of a bigger puzzle? Are we going to move focus to different characters, leaving Brad Pitt to produce-via his Plan B shingle-but not appear in front of the camera? Or was Knigth just talking about ignoring whatever had already been written and starting his own attack form scratch?

What is certain is that there’s plenty of as-yet unused material fem Max Brook’s novel fro the film to draw on. The undead are moving more slowly this time though, since the hoped-for start date last autumn shuffled past with nothing happening. Since the clock is now officially ticking, however,we’d assume there’ll be more action soon.
