Last night was the first time in a long time that I got to go to the cinema to watch a a movie. I missed a lot of good movies so let me know what ones I should try and catch up on.

The movie I went to see was Doctor Strange now I was not looking forward to this movie what so ever. I hadn’t read any of the comics, all I knew about the film was that is was about sorcerers (I don’t know if that is the right word never mind if I spelt it correctly or not) So why did I go and see it I hear you asking and the answer is simple. I didn’t want to see Guardians of the Galaxy either because it have a talking racoon that love guns in the movie, but I went to see it anyways and the I loved the movie and the talking racoon that loved guns turned out to be the best part of the movie.

So what Im trying to say is that Marvel have a way of turning the ridicules into something everyone can enjoy, so yes I gave them the benefit of the doubt. As I was watching the first scene I was thinking o god what did I let myself in for. It looked like a cross between Inception and the Green Lantern.

So I settled in for the long haul. All I could do was think of bad things to say about the movie like Cumberbatch charter was a dick and how was he ever going to make a joke. (Marvel movies success comes partly from the humor in there movies) As the movie went on and it started to explain the world that it was set in I started to enjoy the movie. The fight scenes where very good and special effects were top class and with Cumberbatch playing the lead role I knew that Marvel had an other hit on there hands.

The rest of the world must think so as well because the world wide takings for Doctor Strange is nearly $500 million. Doctor Streang is a very good addition to the Marvel Universe and it will be interesting to see him interact with all the other heroes. we got a sneak peek of how an encounter would go at the end of the titles as Doctor Strange has a chat with Thor and the results are great. The little sneak peek also hint that we will see Doctor Strange in Thor: Ragnarok which is due out in 2017

Over all I loved this movie and would highly recommend it to any marvel fans and even if you not a marvel and have never seen any of their 13 movies beforehand don’t worry you will still be able to fellow along. Have you seen Doctor Strange yet if you have let me know what you taught about it but leaving a comment int he comment box below. You can also check out our last post here. It has being a while since I have written a post, that is because I have being trying to focus more on video content, so hopefully you will start to see some of that coming on line soon.

The reason I want to write this post today was because I was having a conversation with a few on my friends about the TV shows that are on these days and what they taught of them. One show came up that they didn’t like was The Big Bang Theory. Now when I say they didn’t like it Im not talking about the last few seasons which have not being the best, They didn’t like the show at all.

Well I had to ask why on one of the lads said he didn’t like anything made by Chuck Lorre, The Big Bang Theory, Tow and a Half Men, and Mom to say just a few. Again I asks why, what was the reason and he taught about it for a second and then he said its because of the laugh track. He then started name comedy shows that he did like, Veep, Scrubs, Modern Family. when I got home I looked up these shows, and I found out that they have no laugh track.

I watch these shows as well as the one with a laugh track and I never payed any notice to the fact there was or wasn’t a laugh track. They next thing I done was to try and find clips of the shows with laugh track taken out of them. I taught this was going to be hard but it wasn’t and it only took me 1 minute to find

I think that the laugh tracks are put in to tell the audience when its time to laugh. The laugh track treats its audience like sheep and when you here laughing you start to laugh as well. But when a show doesn’t have a laugh track I think the actors have to work harder to sell the jokes and the writers have to work harder to write better jokes as well.

At the end of the day if you laugh at a show and have fun watching it dose it matter if the reason you laughed was because of a laugh track or not. To me not it doesn’t matter but to some people it dose. As I said I don’t care what makes me laugh as long as I laugh and have fun but it is interesting to see the shows that air with laugh track played back with out the laugh track.

What do you think about this, do you care if there is a laugh track or not. Let me know by leaving a comment in the comment box below. Also let me know what is your favourite comedy show with and without a laugh track. Thanks for reading until next time Keep on Viewing.

Hi and welcome to this weeks Saturday Night Stay In Movie (S.N.S.I.M). For those of you that don’t know what the S.N.S.I.M is I will tell you.

On a Saturday night there are two groups of people. The first group are the ones that go out and party with their friends are just go out for dinner with their partners. The second group of people are the ones that stay in on a Saturday night for what ever reason. Well I write this blog of the second group of people.

I chose a movie that you can watch to pass the time. This week is no different.

This week I am going with a classic family favourite, Shrek.

It has been over 15 years since the release of Shrek in cinemas, and everyone fell in love with Donkey and Sherk and Fiona. I don’t think there is many people out there that hasn’t seen Shrek but just in case here is the ruff outline of the story.

Screen Shot 2016-08-26 at 16.32.22

Shrek is an ogre that live in a swamp and he loves how quite it is until the swamp get over run by fairy tails that have got kicked out of the nearby by Lord Fraquaad. To save his home and Shrek makes a deal with Fraquaad to rescue Princess Fiona who is trapped in a tower protected by a dragon. Shrek sets on his quest to save Fiona and he has unlikely sidekick for his mission, a talking Donkey.

Screen Shot 2016-08-26 at 16.27.01

This is the sort of movie that the whole family can sit down and enjoy together. Mike Myers voices Shrek with Eddy Murphy as Donkey and Cameron Diaz as Princess Fiona. As I said the movie is great but it also has a brilliant sound track as well, so you will be laughing and tapping you foot along to the songs.

The first Shrek movie took in over 480 million at the world wide box office which made sure that there was going to be more Shrek movies and there was. There was four more movies and a spin off movie in Puss in Boots.

I think this is one of my favourite animated movies of the 2000s. It s funny both kids and adults can enjoy it over all its a great family movie to sit down and watch on a saturday night.

If you have seen Shrek before let me know what you taught of it by leaving a comment in the comment box  below. Hi and welcome to this weeks TV Rewind for those of you who might not have heard of TV Rewind before its simple. We take a look back at all the show that have come and gone over the years that we might have forgotten. This week is going to be no different.

This week on TV Rewind we are going to be taking a look back at Sister Sister.

The show was about twin sisters who were separated at birth and adopted by two separate parents. One sister was adopted by a single mother and the other sister was adopted by a couple but soon after the adoption the mother died.

Fourteen years later they find each other and hatch a plan to get back together. Their plan works and they all move in together. which only leads to friction between the two parents who have different views on how to raise there child.

Screen Shot 2016-08-25 at 09.27.03

Lisa is mother to Tia a intelligent girl who lives in the inner city Detroit while Tamera is a bit more of a free sprite who lives with her father, Ray in the suburbs.

When the twins get to live together they start making up for lost time as been sisters.

My sister used to watch this show when she was younger and I have to admit I like watching it as well, but the alternative was doing  my homework so I would have watched the grass grow apposed to doing my homework.

In saying that the show was funny. The contrast between Tia (the Smart one) and Tamera (the not so smart one) was very entertaining. while the contrast of Lias (the laid back mother) and Ray (the hard working father) was just as funny and don’t forget about Rodger the boy next door that is in love with the girls and keeps getting shot down as he tries to get one of the girls to go on a date with him.

Screen Shot 2016-08-25 at 09.29.30

This was an entertaining show that lasted for six seasons spanning 119 episodes. It first aired in 1994 and aired its last episode in 1999.

Bowfinger (1999) Official Trailer - Steve Martin, Eddie Murphy Movie HD thumbnail

Hi and welcome to this weeks Saturday Night Stay In Movie (S.N.S.I.M). If you are new to S.N.S.I.M let me tell you what it is about. There are two groups of people on a Saturday night. The first group is the people that go out and party and have a good time. The second group of people are the one that stay in for what ever reason. This blog is for the second group of
people.

This week I am going with a comedy staring Steve Martin, Eddie Murphy, Heather Graham, and Robert Downey Jr. It is of course Bowfinger. Steve Martin stars as a producer that never got his break so he decides to make things happen for himself. He decides to put his life saving into a movie and try and shoot it with one of the biggest stars on the planet but the only thing is the star (Eddie Murphy) doesn’t know he is even in a movie.

Screen Shot 2016-08-19 at 17.47.10

As you can expect it is bit mad, but that is what makes it brilliant. This is one of my favourite comedies ever. Steve Martin was at his best as the producer who will say and promise you anything to get his movie made. Eddie Murphy was also at the hight of his career and works very well with Martin, first as Kit Ramsey and then Jiff Ramsey Kits twin brother.

Screen Shot 2016-08-19 at 17.44.46

This is your typical Steve Martin movie full of laughs and none stop puns. If you liked movies like Roxanne and the Man with Two Brains then you will love this movie too.

Over all this is a great movie that everyone can enjoy. Here is the trailer, have a look

Have you seen Bowfinger before? If you have let me know what you taught of it by leaving a a comment in the comment box below. VIP TV Show Series - Opening Credits Theme - Pamela Anderon thumbnail

Hi and welcome to this weeks TV Rewind. If this is your first time reading this blog it is very simple, we take a look back at some of the show that have form the 80’s 90’s and the naughties.

I had forgotten about this show that I am going to talk about what made me remember it was the fact a few friends and I were talking about TV Rewind over a few drinks in the local, and they brought up this one.

Its VIP starring Pamela Anderson. Anderson stared as Vallery Irons, a girl who actadently saved a celaberty and then get hired to be the face of a protection agency.  The show was a mixture of action and comedy and proved popular. VIP first aired in 1998 and ran for four seasons made up of 88 shows Each week you got to see Anderson stumble her way through cases while her team does most of the heavy lifting. Each show usually ended up in a gun fight.

Screen Shot 2016-08-18 at 13.54.12

I had forget all about this show, but when it was brought up I remember how much I loved it. I was 12 when the first episode aired and like most young boys at that stage (and men) I was in love with Pamela Anderson. There was one problem it was showing in Ireland at seven o’clock on a Saturday night. The reason this was a problem was the fact that mass was on at the same time so I had to go to mass and miss the show a good bit.

I haven’t seen an episode but one thing that I do remember is that when you sit down to watch this show don’t be expecting any great thought provoking story lines are anything thought provoking at all, just sit back watch some good looking people blow stuff up and make some cheap jokes. Over all it is an enjoyable hour of TV. Here is the opening credits check it out.

Did you watch VIP when it was on, if you did, let me know what you taught about it by leaving a comment in the the comment box below. If you would like to suggest a show for next weeks TV Rewind you can leave your suggestion in the box below. You can also check out last weeks TV Rewind HERE. Hi and welcome, I think it is about time for an other review. This week I took a look at Bad Moms. Bad Moms has an all star cast made up of Mila Kunis, Kristen Bell, Kathryn Hahn, Christina Applegate, Jada Pinkett Smith,  and Annie Mumolo.

From the people that brought us the hangover, they now bring us Bad Moms.

Amy (Kunis) has a hectic life she has one overachieving  child and one underachieving child that makes her do her homework for him. she also has a husband that doesn’t want to help around the house and doesn’t appreciated what she does around the house as well as holding down a full time job. Amy find her husband cheating with an woman online and kicks him out of the house.

Screen Shot 2016-08-16 at 18.02.03

This is the final thing to push Amy over the edge, She finally snaps and decides that she is going to have some fun and look after herself for once. She meets some new friends that have kids and starts to party, as well as getting into a fight with the mother that run the PTA.

From the outset you know things are going to go wrong but you keep watching anyways.

Mila Kunis, Kristen Bell and Kathryn Hahn are very funny together as the moms who decide to cut lose and look after themselves and have some fun.

Screen Shot 2016-08-16 at 18.02.25

When I heard that this movie was made by the same guys that made the hangover movies it made a lot of sense, because the movie felt familiar to me like I have seen it before. This made me doing the review of the movie very easy if you liked the hang over then you will like this movie. It did do something that I wasn’t expecting It made me think about how hard my mother worked when I was growing. Now don’t get me wrong I knew she did a lot of for the family and I did appreciate it but I never really got how much stress that would put her under doing all that work which makes me appreciate her that much more.

This is defiantly a movie that a husband and wife can sit down and enjoy together, it is more so for the mothers out there. Here is the trailer take a look and see what you think.

Have you seen Bad Moms yet? if you have let me know what you taught about it by leaving a comment in the comment box below. You can also check out some of the other reviews that I have written up here. Thanks for reading until next time keep on Viewing.

Hi guys and welcome to the 38th addition of TV Rewind. For those of you who don’t know what TV Rewind is about its pretty simple. TV Rewind is where we take a look back at some of the great shows that we used to watch (are maybe still watch) when we were younger. This week is no different. This week we are taken a look back at one of the best loved comedy show that has ever been on TV, it is M.A.S.H.

M.A.S.H. stared life out as a black comedy film first released in 1970 and depicted the horrors of the Korean war. It also dealt with the doctors that were charged with keeping the men alive and how they dealt with the whole situation. It stared Donald Sutherland as Hawkeye, Sally Kellerman as Hotlips and Gary Burghoff as Radar. Burghoff was the only person from the movie to come back for the show. In 1972 M.A.S.H first aired with Alan Alda as Hawkeye Loretta Swit as Hotlips and Gary Burghoff as Radar. The first season found it difficult to find its audience and was in fear of being cancelled, but unconfirmed say that the wife of the head of the studio loved the show so it was giving a second season. It was also moved to a better time slot which did the trick and the show quickly broke into the the top 20 watched show on TV where it stayed for its 11 year run.

Screen Shot 2016-07-27 at 11.41.14

M.A.S.H. stand for Mobile Army Surgical Hospital. It generally operated close to the front line in many cases as little as 5 to 10 miles away. This was so that the casualties would get seen by the doctors faster and had a better chance of serving. For the sergeants it was a never ended converabelt of wounded people that needed fixing and the show delt with this showing the doctors working long shifts with limited supplies doing what ever they could to save lives. They managed to have hummer in the OR but it was when they were out of the OR that they were able to let there hair down and try and forget about where they were. They did this by drinking having relations with the nurses and pulling pranks on each other. Hawkeye was the main character of the show even though he didn’t start out that way, Alda just stole the spot light and made everyone fall in love with him.

Screen Shot 2016-07-27 at 11.40.40

The main target of Hawkeye was Major Burns and Major Houlihan (Hotlips). Burns and Hotleips wanted everyone to act like they were in the army but unlucky for them most of the doctors and nurses were drafted so they were just civilians put into a bad situation and they were trying to be as normal as possible in an extra-oderdany place. Whit this in mind you can see why the show has got 2 episodes in the TV Guid’s top 100 greatest episodes of all time. It was also ranked the 5th best show ever written in 2013 by the writers guild of America. Over all this was a brilliant show. I have to confess I didn’t start watching it till a few years ago but I am glad I did because the mix of comedy and drama is near perfect and it just is an entertaining show to watch.

Have you seen M.A.S.H. before let me know what you think about it by leaving by leaving a comment in the comment box below. IF you like to leave a suggestion for next weeks TV Rewind you can by leaving it in the comment box below. You can also check out last weeks TV Rewind here. Hi and welcome to this weeks TV Rewind. If you are new to TV Rewind it is simple we take a look back at all the shows that we used to watch when we were kids 80’s 90’s. We have gone through a lot of shows since we have started doing TV Rewind but don’t worry there is still a lot more shows out there. This week we are taking a look back at Sabrina The Teenage Witch. I think most people I knew watched this show but some wouldn’t admit it because they were too cool to watch it. I didn’t really give a dame I watched it.

The show was about a teenage girl who is sent to live with her ants, who tell her that she is a witch and that she will have to learn how to control her powers and figure out the family secret if she is to become a full licensed witch. O and I forgot to tell ye about there talking cat who was a witch that broke the rules of the witches council and as punishment got turned into a cat for the rest of his long long life. It was a comedy show that went for cheap laughs (which worked) and had a leading lady that a lot of people had a crush on (including me) so the show worked on a few levels.

Screen Shot 2016-07-14 at 12.26.03

The show came from the comic book Archie. It aired for the first time in 1996, to over 17 million people, and ran for 7 seasons (the first 3 4 on ABC and the last 3 on The WB). The first four seasons dealt with Sabrina in high school and dealing with her powers and and everyday life and the last 3 seasons dealt with Sabrina in collage and hiding her powers from her room mates and work mates. By the time the third season had started I had growing out of the show and lost interest in it so I can’t really say what the later seasons were like but judging by the drop in ratings it must not have being any good.

Screen Shot 2016-07-14 at 12.28.09

The show finished in 2003 with ratings of only 3 million a big drop from the first show and its 17 million. Do you remember Sabrina, The Teenage Witch, What did you think of the show? Did you watch all 7 seasons? let me know by leaving a comment below in the comment box. If you would like to suggest a show for next weeks TV Rewind just leave you suggestion below. Box Office Comedy New Release Review

Screen Shot 2016-06-21 at 09.59.52

Hi everyone I went to see Central Intelligence a few weeks ago but I forgot to write up the review about it (that might give you some indication on how this review is going to go). First of all the rock is one of the biggest action stars on the plant at the moment and Kevin Heart is one of the funniest comedians on the plant at the moment so it wold make sense to put them in a movie together and see what happens. well what happened was they took a ordinary script and turned it in big summer hit, pulling in over $150 million at the world wide box office, not a bad days work for the boys.

Here is the plot Kevin Heart plays Clavin Joyner who was good at everything in high school and was voted most likely to succeed and he went on to marry his high school girlfriend and become an accountant but Clavin always felt like he was destined for greater things and has become annoyed with his life. The Rock plays Bob who was the over weight kid in high school who didn’t have any friends and was bullied by the popular kids which all came to a head when he was throwing naked into the gym in front of the whole school. Well he turned his life around and lost all the weight and became an CIA agent. After 20 years Bob get in contact with Clavin and get him to help him with a case he is working and that is when things start to go wrong.

Screen Shot 2016-07-13 at 12.57.28

At the start of the movie I didn’t think the Rock and Heart played well off each other but as the movie progressed it felt more natural. I think if any other two actors were cast in this movie it would have been a disaster, because the story line felt like it has being done before which it has been by every other buddy movie ever made all you have to do is look back at Kevin Heart in Ride A Long 1 and 2 which again they were funny to watch but just the once and I wouldn’t have being to mad if I didn’t see them.

Screen Shot 2016-07-13 at 12.57.11

Now I could have been a bit harsh on this but just because you have some big names in a movie doesn’t mean you have an instant hit on your hands, you still need to work on a good script develop some of the supporting characters around the stars and so on but that could be just me. Let me know what you taught about Central Intelligence by leaving a comment in the comment box below. Thanks for reading, until next time keep on Viewing.
